THE SOLUTION
Capturing the spirit of the Yellowstone River Valley through an elegant identity inspired by rare botanicals, crystal clear waters, and the majestic waterfalls of Montana, USA. Rooted in the story of the Crow Tribe fermenting river water with botanicals flourishing within the waterfall vapour, the brand combines heritage, nature, and craftsmanship in a refined contemporary form.
The identity combines tones of black, grey, turquoise, and copper, reflecting rugged rock formations, waterfalls, and copper distillation. At the centre of the brand, the logo merges rock formations, ripples, and cascading water to form the negative silhouette of a gin glass, embodying both the landscape and the product itself. This visual language extends into the packaging through tall glass bottles inspired by the height and clarity of a waterfall, while wraparound labels distort abstract waterfall graphics through the liquid to create a flowing effect.
Premium finishes including soft-touch materials, copper foil detailing, and textured labels elevate the tactile experience, allowing the brand to appeal across both affordable and premium markets while maintaining a cohesive, elegant presence throughout packaging, point of sale, and environmental applications.

THE LOGO
Simple and bold, the Crow Gin logo is comprised of four key elements: two rock panels cleverly shaping the negative space of a gin glass on either side, while the waterfall details and ripples come together to define the base of the glass. Paired with the traditional serif typeface “Iowan Old Style” and a centred layout, the design remains minimal and calm. Together, these elements seamlessly fuse the essence of both the waterfall and gin, creating a harmonious visual identity.

THE PACKAGING
For both the premium and original gin, the packaging centres around a tall, crystal clear glass bottle chosen to reflect the height and clarity of a waterfall.
The label wraps around the bottle using the rock formations from the logo to create the negative shape of a gin glass at the front, revealing the liquid inside. An abstract waterfall pattern printed on the reverse is distorted through the gin, creating a flowing waterfall effect.

The premium gin uses a matte soft-touch label with screen printed details and a copper foil seam, while the original gin features a rock textured label with screen printing and a bottle top label.
